Partner Code 128979 for AvaTrade: What You Actually Get

People message me about partner codes all the time. Same question every time: can you get free trades or lower spreads?

Nope. AvaTrade charges zero commission on forex. You pay the spread. The spread is the fee. A partner code doesn't change that.

What 128979 does is unlock the welcome bonus. Additional trading capital depending on your deposit. Nothing avatrade partner code more complicated than that.

What's the bonus amount?

Put in $1,000, receive $200 bonus.

Deposit $2,000 for $400 bonus.

$5,000-$9,999 earns you $1,000 bonus.

Top tier is $14,000 on deposits over $100,000. Not many traders reach that level.

UK traders funding in pounds start at £160 on £800. Goes to £11,200 at the top.

You can open an account with $100. Bonus requires $1,000 minimum.

Finding the partner code field

Registration page. Once you've filled in your phone number, look for small text that says "Have a Partner Code?" with an arrow next to it. Click the arrow. A text box appears. Type **128979**.

Most people miss it because it doesn't look like a proper form field until you click.

Sometimes it shows as invalid, don't worry. Finish signing up. Reach out to your account manager first. Tell them you want 128979 applied. They do this manually all the time.

Bonus withdrawal conditions

There's a volume requirement.

Around 10,000 units per dollar of bonus. A $200 bonus means trading 2,000,000 units before that $200 unlocks. Slower if you're trading micro lots. Happens faster than you'd think if you're active.

Your deposit is yours. Withdraw it whenever you want. Bonus funds remain locked until volume is met.

One thing worth knowing: locked bonus funds still contribute to your margin. Allows for slightly larger trades. For someone still learning, that buffer can keep you in the game long enough to figure things out.
